“The opportunity to return to the insurance industry means a great deal to me,” says the new appointee. BMS, a specialist (re)insurance broker, has selected Charlie Rozes as its new group CFO and executive director.
Rozes’ appointment comes on the heels of recent additions to the company’s leadership team, including Emmanuel Clarke as chairman, Chris Brook as group chief operating officer, and Ali Trauttmansdorff as group chief people officer.
Rozes will succeed group finance director Nick Moss, who is retiring after joining BMS in 2019. With over 30 years of experience, Rozes brings a wealth of knowledge to his new role. He joins from online trading financial services firm IG Group, where he served as group chief financial officer, executive director, and most recently as acting chief executive. Before joining IG global, Rozes was Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group’s global chief financial officer and executive director, where he oversaw the company’s acquisition by Marsh McLennan.
Reporting to BMS Group chief executive Nick Cook, Rozes will join the firm in November and will be based in London. His focus will be on advancing the group’s strategy, driving organic growth plans, and executing BMS’s global M&A program. Additionally, he will be responsible for strategic planning, risk management, and internal audit functions. Rozes will also join the BMS Group Holdings board and lead the M&A division.
Rozes expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “Nick and his team are exceptional, and this is reflected in the tremendous growth BMS has achieved. The opportunity to return to the insurance industry means a great deal to me, especially given the chance to contribute to BMS at this exciting stage in its growth. I am happy to join the team, and I look forward to working with my new colleagues.”
Nick Cook added, “I’m delighted to announce Charlie’s appointment. He has vast experience overseeing UK and international operations, having successfully generated significant growth for global and FTSE firms.
His experience will be crucial as BMS looks to continue its momentum, achieve its growth ambitions, and further its reputation as the home of an innovative, collaborative, and high-performance culture. I’d also like to thank Nick Moss for his outstanding contributions to the organization over the last five years. He has been a driving force behind the incredible growth at BMS, and we all wish him well in his retirement.”
