Vantage Data Centers, data center capacity providing company which provides its services to enterprises and cloud providers has secured over $800 million in equity capital to expand its operations in Europe. The company inked a deal to acquire Etix Everywhere, which operates 12 data centers across Europe for about 200 clients.
Vantage Data Centers has grabbed its latest round from a new investor Digital Colony Partners along with its current investors. The company also noted that Digital Colony Partners has recently closed its inaugural fund worth of $4.05 billion in order to invest in digital infrastructure.
In 2019, Vantage Data Center has secured about $700 million for its North America expansion process. According to the company, the newly acquired Etix operates its data centers mostly in Europe with a few in Latin America and Africa.
Antoine Boniface, the Former CEO of Etix Everywhere states, “the Etix team and I are thrilled to join Vantage. The experience that Vantage brings with North American-based hyperscale, cloud and wholesale customers, combined with Etix’s European experience and Frankfurt hyperscale campus, creates a compelling platform that is ideally positioned to serve customers across Europe.”
Along with the workplaces of Etix Everywhere, Vantage Data Centers is focusing to locate itself in five other locations in Europe including Frankfurt, Zurich, Milan, Warsaw and Berlin. With the new locations, the company is about to grab 11 markets globally. The company has also decided to invest around $2 billion in its current European expansion.
Marc Ganzi, the CEO of Digital Colony said in an announcement that, “Vantage’s expansion into Europe is the company’s next step in becoming a premier, global hyperscale data center provider.” “We are excited to support their team, their customers and their growth plan, and fueling Vantage Europe’s rapid build-out,” he added.
