Delta Air Lines and Uber Technologies have entered into a significant partnership aimed at enhancing travel experiences for their customers. The deal, announced at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas by Delta CEO Ed Bastian and Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi, will go live in spring 2025, marking a new era of travel convenience and rewards for their mutual clientele.

The partnership introduces a host of exciting benefits for both Delta’s SkyMiles members and Uber users. Delta’s loyal passengers will soon be able to earn miles while using Uber for rides or ordering through Uber Eats. In return, Uber riders will receive exclusive perks, including improved pickup and drop-off services at Delta’s major hubs.

The integration allows customers to link their Delta SkyMiles and Uber accounts, enabling them to use their accumulated miles for Delta flight reservations, upgrades, hotel bookings, and purchases from participating retailers. Additionally, Uber Eats users can earn one SkyMile per dollar spent on orders over $40 at restaurants and grocery stores. Uber’s loyalty program also extends to rides, with SkyMiles earned for every dollar spent on UberX trips to and from airports, along with even more miles for premium services. Uber Comfort and Uber Black rides will earn two miles per dollar, while Uber Reserve rides will accrue three miles per dollar spent.

Khosrowshahi emphasized that the collaboration aligns with Uber’s mission to make travel more efficient and seamless for customers. The partnership positions Uber as Delta’s exclusive rideshare and delivery partner, further solidifying its role in shaping the future of travel, particularly with the growing number of air travelers. This alliance underscores a shared commitment to improving the travel journey, offering customers added value through an integrated, rewards-driven experience. The companies have yet to announce the exact date when customers can begin linking their accounts to take advantage of these new benefits.
