Apple’s New iPhone SE is Almost $250 Cheaper than its First iPhone when Adjusted for Inflation

Apple unveiled some new products on Tuesday, including a brand-new iPad Air which is the high-powered Mac Studio computer and the successor of its best-value iPhone SE.

The iPhone SE’s $429 price is a little higher than the 2020 model’s $399, but it is still the one among the cheapest iPhones ever released. If we consider it by adjusting for inflation, the 2022’s iPhone SE is relatively cheaper than the company’s very first iPhone.

The $499 price tag that Apple charged for its first iPhone base model back in 2007 would be of value around $673 in 2022, as per the inflation calculator of the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. The $599 model with additional storage capacity would cost $807 today by adjusting for inflation.

The new iPhone SE replaces the earlier version released in 2020 and features 5G technology and A15 Apple’s latest iPhone processor.

Apple CEO Tim Cook said that the new iPhone SE also features the best single-camera system ever in any iPhone.

The new iPhone SE will be available in red, white, and black color options. The new iPhone SE with 64 GB of storage capacity will cost $429. 128 GB model is priced at $479 and the 256 GB model is priced at $579.

The $429 SE is currently the cheapest new iPhone available from Apple. The most expensive iPhone is 13 Pro Max with 1 TB of storage capacity with cost almost $1,200.
