Below are the highlights of the interview:
Brief our audience about your journey as a business leader until your current position at The MyDigirecords. What challenges have you had to overcome to reach where you are today?
I have over two decades of experience in private practice, as an academic, as an administrator, as a researcher, and as an entrepreneur in healthcare technology. It has been a long journey. Always wearing multiple hats. I am a mother, daughter, wife, and daughter-in-law on top of that running a business.
Tell us something more about your company and its mission and vision.
Mission: MyDigiRecords gives individuals the autonomy to manage their medical records in the simplicity of an app to improve their quality of life.
Vision: MyDigiRecords will give consumers back control of their health by maintaining all of their health data in one easily accessible location that’s available 24/7, from birth to death.
Enlighten us on how you have impacted your respective niche through your expertise in the market.
Everyone thinks about the provider here. No one is thinking about consumers. I am trying to give consumers the power to manage their health records.
Describe in detail the values and the work culture that drives your organization.
MyDigiRecords, as a company, is a platform for growing and trying new things.
MyDigiRecords inspires creativity and novel thinking about leveraging health data to improve consumers’ quality of life.
Undeniably, technology is playing a significant role in almost every sector. How are you leveraging technological advancements to make your solutions resourceful?
MyDigiRecords recognizes that the days of the “one size fits all” strategy are gone due to multiple EMR systems and allow for all data to be entered regardless of location.
Where do you envision yourself to be in the long run, and what are your future goals for MyDigiRecords?
This isn’t my first company and won’t be the last one either. MyDigiRecords currently monitors immunization records, and managing entire medical history is on the roadmap. The product will enable a user to manage their full records instead of relying on a provider. We are working on some big partnerships this year, and our company is slated to take off next year after we have built the full product and developed partnerships this year. We will also bring AI into the mix to help users better manage their health.
What would be your advice to budding entrepreneurs who aspire to venture into your respective sector?
This isn’t the end. Healthcare is a multi-trillion-dollar market, and that’s just in the US. Develop products that impact you and that you are passionate about. If there is something in your health, you’d wonder, it could be much better than developing that. Very highly likely chances that others are experiencing the same issues.
