According to a report, Twitter plans to charge approximately $20 per month for users to preserve their blue verification marks as part of a premium service that will uprise under Elon Musk’s leadership.
Twitter Blue, an optional $4.99-per-month premium subscription, will be increased to $19.99 per month. However, the pricing is susceptible to change, according to the publication, which cited internal communications and persons acquainted with the situation.
Twitter will introduce new features, including verification, to compensate for the price increase. Existing verified users have 90 days following the debut of Twitter Blue to subscribe, or their checkmarks will be removed.
The current Twitter Blue version was released roughly a year ago and allowed members to access ad-free articles from certain publishers and extra personalization options.
