The world-renowned American software company Oracle has tied up with TikTok for becoming their ‘trusted technology partner’.
Oracle headquarters in Texas is holding the key role of guarding the data of US users in its Oracle servers. This deal has been initiated since the US President Joe Biden took up the reins but has numerous formalities in the process.
The deal confirms the transition of active usage of TikTok data to the Oracle servers for better convenience and security.
Albert Calamug, the head of TikTok’s US security and public policy said, “For more than a year, we’ve been working with Oracle on several measures as part of our commercial relationship to better safeguard our app, systems, and the security of US user data,”. “Today, 100% of US user traffic is being routed to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.”
In order to fully pivot the Oracle cloud servers in US, they will be utilizing the servers in Virginia and Singapore as backups, the company added. The TikTok data transition process is already underway, however the complete transition planning to Oracle servers is still unknown.
