Templafy, a Denmark-based developer of template management and document automation software has closed $25 million in Series C funding round.

The new round has been led by Insight Partners along with the participation of Seed Capital, Dawn Capital, and Damgaard Company.

With this latest round, Templafy has totally raised almost $70 million as its external capital. As per the records, in 2018, the platform has raised an additional $15 million fund from its existing investors as an extension of its earlier Series B round taking it to around $40.2 million.

Founded in 2014, Templafy had initiated its journey with a way for enterprises to more easily make templates out of standard documents and today it integrates with enterprise infrastructure to provide document templates, corporate content assets, and automatic validation of created documents for all of its customers. In the meanwhile, the platform has acquired SlideProof, Veodin and iWRITER along with the opening of an office in New York City.

According to Templafy, it will use the newly raised fund in order to boost its M&A activity, advance its product roadmap, and double its staff from 200 to 400 full-time employees.

Christian Lund, the Co-founder and CPO at Templafy states, “Being a horizontal document production infrastructure, Templafy is agnostic to the type of business document created (presentations, reports, contracts, proposals, pitches, emails, internal / external etc.) This is a key reason why many of the world’s largest enterprises use the platform company-wide.

Jesper Theill Eriksen, the CEO of Templafy elaborates, “We set out to establish a new market category and create a high return on investment for companies streamlining their document creation workflow through our platform.” He adds, as COVID-19 Pandemic has effect on remote working, “Now more than ever, we see the need of global enterprises to support their distributed workforce with solutions that ensure productivity and compliance when documents are created.
