For anyone seeking a warm destination over the winter, Virgin Australia has announced a significant offer. However, there is a catch.
Virgin Australia will provide flights to the Gold Coast for just $69 each way. This is part of a new advertising campaign that aims to increase its popularity in masses and subsequently boost growth of the company.
From now through Sunday, Virgin stated it would be providing 30,000 one-way economy tickets as part of its “Magic Midweek Gold Coast Sale.”
From July through March 2024, the tickets will be offered on a limited number of Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays departures.
Tickets would cost $69 from Sydney, $89 from Melbourne and Canberra, and $119 from Adelaide, according to Virgin Australia.
Darwin, Hobart, and Perth were not included in the arrangement.
Few weeks have passed since the airline revealed that travellers could purchase incentive seats using fewer points.
A new ‘1 Point Rewards’ programme was launched by the Velocity Frequent Flyer Programme, where seats were made available at much lower points requirements.
It reduced the number of points required from 7800 to 6200 in order to book a rewards seat on a domestic flight.
The airline based in Australia and using the name Virgin Australia is Virgin Australia Airlines Pty Ltd. According to fleet size, it is the largest airline to carry the Virgin name.
