Volkswagen is “actively” looking to establish a new assembly and battery facilities in the U.S., Scott Keogh, CEO of the German company’s North American subsidiary.
The report added that Keogh declined to discuss potential locations and additional details related to potential locations for these facilities. The announcement comes as the German automaker speed up towards reaching the aim of its global output to be all-electric by 2030. The company delivered around 4,52,000 EV battery globally last year.
Volkswagen is still discussing and evaluating its options, as per the report.
