To offer fast delivery, Walgreens Boots Alliance looking forward to partners with FedEx Corp.

According to the reports, Walgreens Boots Alliance announced that it would partner with FedEx Corp to launch a next day delivery service for prescription drugs nationwide, giving it a leg up as Amazon threatens to shake-up the sector.

Early in 2018, Walgreen announced it would buy online pharmacy PillPack. In order to catch-up with the on-demand drug delivery space, Walgreens is implementing certain aspects for tackling rivalry and competition.

On the other hand the introduction of Amazon in the pharmaceutical industry and in the market would rattle the old gamers in drug industry. The effect of it could potentially disrupt most of the experienced players of the U.S. drug supply chain.

There are many more organizations that already have launched their individual services, offers next-day delivery facility in upcoming year, named CVS Health Corp. Similarly, according to the reports Walgreens stated that there are already same-day drug delivery services available in certain markets and they are going to expand in the year 2019.

To facilitate their customers with best price possible, Walgreens offers patients with qualifying prescriptions delivered to their door-steps as early as possible next day. Moreover, several reports also suggested that Walgreens is willing to provide the medicines for around $4.99 to the respective customers.
