Verizon Offloads One America News from its Platforms

One American News (OAN) now has no major carrier thanks to Verizon Fios, the most recent provider to discontinue service.
Verizon said in a statement, “Our negotiation with OAN has been a typical, business-as-usual carriage negotiation like those that routinely happen between content distributors and content providers.” The company added, “These negotiations were focused on economics, as they always are, but OAN failed to agree to fair terms.”

OAN, owned by Herring Networks in California, has come under fire for reportedly peddling conspiracy theories and falsehoods. The network’s channel on YouTube was shut down in 2020 when it advertised a phony COVID-19 cure.
There seems to be no respite in problems for the news network as Verizon was the last of its major carriers.
