Over the years, there have been a lot of debates on the topic of women at workplaces. We already know how every working sector has a seemingly lower number of female employees. Given the looks of it, we have started to see some changes occurring at an organizational level, which is a need for modern times. In today’s world, several female leaders have set an example for everyone around the globe that given the opportunity they can make a massive difference in their work. Women are likely to be avid leaders as they pave their way for a new style of leadership that is confident, genuine, and highly efficient.
Women have characteristics that make them natural leaders. They can easily handle work-life balance. It is easier for them to balance professional and personal leadership skills that only add up to their proactive behavior. They also maintain a strong understanding of what drives and motivates their colleagues, making it easier to acknowledge various people for their input in a collective effort. They can multi-task at varied levels that they can not only nurture their team members to develop skills and strengths but also make a bold and wise decision simultaneously.
Women have an innate ability to dream big and, they can pivot, adjust, and focus on solutions. And that’s one of the many reasons behind how they achieve more and lead the way for others. Whether it may be business, sports, education, technology, etc. women rise to shine in everything that they do. In simple words, they can wear many hats at the same time. The flexibility that women offer when they observe something that isn’t working as intended, they are most likely to change the course of action for better results without much deliberation. This quick thinking and decision-making capabilities are what make them a better leader in the first place.
Sheri L. Dew said, “True leaders understand that leadership is not about them but about those they serve. It is not about exalting themselves but about lifting others.” We need more women in leadership roles to create a better balance in the career world. Nowadays, we see that the efforts of women leaders are honored and appreciated on larger platforms. As a result, they step into the spotlight, cheering them to display their work to the world in hopes of making a small but significant difference.
Women are creative, collaborative and, communicative that makes them highly effective in their approach towards their tasks. Change is constant, modern world requires a change in leadership and new perspective. As Ruth Bader Ginsburg said, “Women belong in all places where decisions are being made. It shouldn’t be that women are the exception.”All it takes is a step, make your voices heard. The world might be ready for change, are you?
